The first part of God’s “day” of resolution happened through the death and resurrection of Christ and through the presence of the Spirit falling on the church. That makes sense in Trinitarian theology since Christ and the Spirit are equally and fully the Lord of the Old Testament. The second part of the Day of the Lord is when Christ returns again.2 We, of course, are living between Christ’s first and second advent.
